panther
the panther chair was created to mark the 50th anniversary of moroso, italy. designed by pakhalé at the invitation of patrizia moroso, the chair encourages users to explore different postures, including sitting, lounging, and reclining, which adds a playful element to its design. as an innovative typological piece, panther combines three seating positions into one fluid form that evokes the image of a leaping panther. the initial version of panther was crafted from upholstered fabric and a specimen from this edition is part of the centre pompidou collection, while later editions were produced using fiberglass.
