Her deep understanding of architectural history is clear in her carefully composed images, both in landscape and architectural photography. Binet skillfully captures the essence of her subjects by artfully manipulating light, shadow, and texture, creating a dynamic interplay that evokes the spirit and atmosphere of the environment. sumie garcía hirata

Sumie García Hirata is a Mexican artist of Japanese descent who, in her practice, transitions between still and moving images, exploring landscape as a space where memory inhabits. Based on this idea, García Hirata creates works that convey the contradiction seen in landscapes: on the one hand, they are fragile due to their flaws, folds, and fractures, but on the other hand, they possess an overwhelming force that defines them.

rolf sachs

Rolf Sachs’s work manifests as art, design, objects, photography, spaces, and visual mediums, all of which are approached with his playful sense of humour. The essence of his work encourages human interaction with emotional and sensory reactions. The ‚Camera in Motion‘ series is a photographic long-term project comprising a collection of images captured with a still camera. Sachs records the experience of travelling on the Albula-Bernina Express, a UNESCO World Heritage site, through the Swiss Alps between Chur (Switzerland) and Tirano (Italy). Photographed from the legendary train, the Swiss artist portrays the breathtaking landscape from a passenger’s viewpoint, depicting a unique perspective of motion and abstract imagery of the scenic terrain.

michael wesely

Michael Wesely is a celebrated photographer whose work captures the passage of time in a single image. His process is meticulous, often taking anywhere from a week to multiple years to complete. Wesely completed his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich in 1994, creating his own cameras and developing a method of producing long-exposure photos that he has chosen not to reveal. The ‚STILL LIFE‘ series captures flower arrangements through long-time exposure, creating a visual representation of the flowers‘ lifetime‘. This particular piece is an eight-day photograph of a white tulip bouquet captured in 2009.
