In November 2018, the Zaha Hadid gallery presented a pop-up exhibition in the newly realized art space at the residential condominium building 514 west 28th street in Manhattan, New York. Developed by Related Companies, the 2000ft2 gallery joined the adjacent High Line Nine exhibition space.
The exhibition featured a curated selection of works, including architectural models of the building itself, a series of ’silver models‘ representing key projects and several of Zaha Hadid Design’s collaborations, such as the Avia chandeliers for SLAMP.
ammann//gallery provided selected photographs by Hélène Binet, which capture the materiality and composition of Zaha Hadid’s work. Binet’s relationship with the Zaha Hadid practice began in 1993 when she photographed the Zaha Hadid’s first completed building, the Vitra Firstation, Germany, and has continued throughout the years resulting in powerful images of Zaha Hadid’s most renowned projects.
