In 2014 curator Cristina Grajales, owner of New York based Christina Grajales Gallery, invited artist and designer Satyendra Pakhalé to be part of the annual ‚Design at Fairchild‘ exhibition at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, Florida.
Partnering with Cappellini, Italy, Pakhalé produced a limited edition of the iconic Fish Chair in a „viola“ hue to contrast the lush greenery and tropical flowering trees found in the garden. The Fish Chair invites visitors to rest and enjoy the tropical surroundings of the Fairchild Garden while also being a sensorial sculpture.
